   I appreciate this line: “they whisper instead of speaking”. So many things in our culture shout and it becomes difficult to hear the whispers. God calls us to the silence in order to hear God’s voice. “Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

     Hi Lynda, I love that Psalm. It is often hard to find silence in Western Culture with advertising and billboards, TV and radio constantly bombarding us. That is why I so value my solitude and prayer time, both in the brief periods throughout the day and during my annual retreat.

   Yes! ..and that too evokes the sense of beauty in us.

   Perhaps it is not so much the content of the subjective meaning of our experience of beauty that has value for us, but rather the experience itself, because it immerses us in transcendence and mystery. Humbling, for sure.
