Reblogging this as it expresses sentiments I have felt during my years of spiritual wandering and still feel not that I came back “home”.

I love the Church for all that she tries to be, for all that Christ intended her to be. But the Church as institution is very human and can be very wrong, as we all know. As the humans in the Church we are called by Christ to work together to be the body of Christ in the world. It is the Church as represented by individuals living out the mission of Christ who truly bring the light and love of God to the people of the world.
